Paysl hired a DOC for the select program. What’s the point of a doc for a club that has parent coaches and focuses more on the rec side and low level select play? Surely money could be spend better.
Re: All things PAYSL - Pflugerville
I don't know. My guess is he would take over at some capacity as a real coach. Like other clubs, PAYSL has their issues, I'm not sure if a DOC addresses the right one.Doc wrote: ↑Mon Apr 05, 2021 5:46 pmPaysl hired a DOC for the select program. Re: All things PAYSL - Pflugerville
They got some guy with some experience from NY.
Re: All things PAYSL - Pflugerville
Where’s glenn at now days? Notice since they hired the new DOC last fall he’s gone. Hes a decent d2 coach but overall was a good guy. I wouldn’t have made him DOC either, but would’ve tried to keep him on staff for girls side.
Re: All things PAYSL - Pflugerville
Glenn is just doing his training, afaik. Good guy, but I think he just need to step back focus on himself as he was getting stretched. When you have volunteer coaches and demanding parents, it can be a bit much.

That usually means good or bad things…socalju wrote: ↑Thu May 12, 2022 3:38 pmWinter is coming! :)
Let me guess JD coming to run the girls side, the current DOC runs boys, and PAYSL takes it huge rec program to try and become the top select program lol
Re: All things PAYSL - Pflugerville
The systematic destruction of community and rec soccer programs by Lonestar has done enough damage in Austin. PAYSL will never be an elite select soccer "threat", but it must be protected, fostered, and grown to help provide good soccer programming to a ton of kids. Not everything must be forced into a "Select / ELITE" framework with high fees and silliness.
