Kingwood, is this your '05 team in the picture or a older pic of the team?

Say what you want about the Kingwood team, but seems like they are the only ones invited to this Dallas tournament. Come on Houston, we get no respect from Dallas!

Invited? to what? This just shows the lack of knowledge at KA, lets go to every tournament possible without any thought for the kids, its about feeding parents ego's.

Right they should stay home and not play in a tournament with some of the highest quality teams in the nation right in there backyard. That philosophy is what has stifled the growth of soccer in Houston. Stay home play local tournaments to ensure we always have a good showing, this gives a false sense to parents about the status of the team and quality of their training. When they finally venture north to Dallas (usually at ECNL age) they get the snot kicked out of them and the trainers blame it on a depth problem. Believe what you want, do want you want, but don't put a team down for traveling to Dallas to play in a tournament because your stuck with a club with an antiquated philosophy.

Technically you applied and then received an invitation or you qualified by doing well in another tournament you may have attended. Let's not act like this tournament has some great soccer expert board scouring the nation/state and invited this group out of the blue. That is the same way it works for the Dallas Cup also....the Dallas tournaments act like you are "invited".

If it is SO easy to get "invited" to, then why don't we see your teams name on there? I'm sure you'll try to give some ridiculous excuse, but the proof is on the pudding! Make fun of is all you want, but we are getting better....can't say the same for you

All Albion teams were invited ) keep that chest thumping going, our girls are doing fine training with older girls but you don't have that option as you are merely but one. Rumor is 3 girls already booked place at Challenge for next season something about meaningless tournaments and parent egos you may want to look into this.

All your teams were invited, that is funny sh*t! Funny the invitation page did not have you club on there?? Maybe your trainer told you that so you would feel better lol!

Taken from there website:

AT-LARGE BIDS
The SuperCopa Selection Committee begins delivering At-Large Bids to select teams in September each year. The Bids are determined by a panel of youth soccer professionals from around the United States and offered to teams after extensive research has been conducted. Teams receiving an At-large Bid into the Premier SuperCopa (boys) or Premier SuperCopa G (girls) are considered to be amongst the nation's top youth teams.

Sorry Albion you were not included!
