Re: All things PAYSL - Pflugerville
eh, it is a loophole but still within the rules. lets just change the rule or remove the rule so PAYSL, WBSA, RRSA and GSA teams can go ahead and stack their rec teams like Forza does without saying I have 5 assistant coaches. Just remove rule.Yikes wrote: ↑Tue May 15, 2018 12:18 pmUm, no paysl does not follow those rules. They may pretend to but they allowes coaches to easily work around it. Funny you call Forza teams stacked - They are already playing up 1 and 2 years what else do you want???
Re: All things PAYSL - Pflugerville
if you were more well-versed in youth soccer - perhaps on a global scale - you would know age does not have to do with it but rather level of play. I don't want to bore you with details but more developed soccer countries play by level not by age. it results in play ups and play downs and end result in WC qualification. But I digress.NOT STACKED wrote: ↑Tue May 15, 2018 2:20 pmFunny you call Forza teams stacked - They are already playing up 1 and 2 years what else do you want???Loop wrote: ↑Tue May 15, 2018 2:14 pmeh, it is a loophole but still within the rules. lets just change the rule or remove the rule so PAYSL, WBSA, RRSA and GSA teams can go ahead and stack their rec teams like Forza does without saying I have 5 assistant coaches. I have seen a team of "select" U8s whip U9 and U10 rec teams. again difference is due to playing level from the training.
U8s trained 2x a week in Academy, and 3rd session of pool training.
Individuals also played at home, in yard, at school, every waking moment not eating or in school was with a soccer ball.
U9/U10 trained 1-2x a week with clueless coach that had the kids playing sharks and minnows for 60 minutes.
No individual play as lets be honest, mom signed up dd/bb to get outside and learn some social skills.
Re: All things PAYSL - Pflugerville
If your team is rec then play rec. If your team is rec and really good for rec, then play rec up a few years. If your team is select, then play select.NOT STACKED wrote: ↑Tue May 15, 2018 2:20 pmFunny you call Forza teams stacked - They are already playing up 1 and 2 years what else do you want???
Re: All things PAYSL - Pflugerville
We watched several of the Forza Rec games this season as they stood out in their Forza kits. The U7 team was well over matched with 4,5 and 6 year olds but they actually played pretty tough. The last game I saw they may have won, nobody keeps score in Rec, it was a close game.Whelp wrote: ↑Tue May 15, 2018 2:49 pmIf your team is rec then play rec. The U8 was very young too, one or 2 kids looked U8ish. They were toying with the other team and possessed the ball 90% of the time and were very organized. Probably should not have played Rec even though they looked very young.
Different coaches, looked like parent coaches, not uniformed.
Nothing illegal going on.
Re: All things PAYSL - Pflugerville
Remember, stysa academy rules force teams to only play rec until all players are u8. If we moved towards Dallas style, we would allow academy aka professional coaching at any age.
Until then, players are forced to play rec until they are u8.

Re: All things PAYSL - Pflugerville
here is where things get split and problematic because of the national chapters USYS and USC working like silos (aside from many other problems). But here we have an issue which one could argue is at the heart and soul of any USNT.Forget wrote: ↑Thu May 17, 2018 8:42 amRemember, stysa academy rules force teams to only play rec until all players are u8. USYS (under CAYSA) does not allow "Academy" at U8 or younger and clubs voted to leave USYS for Academy.
USC (also under CAYSA) does all "Academy" at younger ages. I think CAYSA limited it to U8, but possibly U7 not 100% positive. Clubs voted to join USC for Academy.
But recreational under CAYSA/STYSA/USYS, has rec rules on rostering players. Forza is NOT following these rules.
But Forza does not want to play USC Academy at U8 because not enough clubs are doing it. Academy currently only has U9 and U10. Fair enough, Forza or any team of U8/U7 should NOT be forced to play U9 Academy.
Forza is between rock and hard place and I get it. All I am saying is they should follow the rules and organize their teams better, watch the professional training rule as well as professional on the sideline during the games. Put a parent, rather simple fix but Dinh's complete control would never allow it. hopefully this was the first year and everyone saw how it operated. lets tweak it now or fix the rule.
Re: All things PAYSL - Pflugerville
USC is not under CAYSA as CAYSA is a USYS affiliate and USC is a separate affiliate to USSF.Not Stysa wrote: ↑Thu May 17, 2018 9:49 amhere is where things get split and problematic because of the national chapters USYS and USC working like silos (aside from many other problems). Re: All things PAYSL - Pflugerville
Which leagues for PAYSL?
What ages will they go to market with this year?
I've heard nothing from many that I know used to play PAYSL, have they all moved on to FCB?
