Red card

Very end of the first half in high school game, small altercation. First half ends and player continues to talk to referee (hasn't left the field yet). Referee then shows red card to player. Should team play with 10, or be able to play with 11? I believe rule states that since player received card d...

Re: Complaining Parents

I played high school soccer in Michigan my 9th and 10th grade years. My family moved to Nebraska before my 11th grade year, and that school did not have a soccer program. My dad started a club program in our town. I played club soccer for my university in Missouri, no NCAA team. We played against wh...

Re: Complaining Parents

HS soccer is supposed to be for fun, school spirit, part of school? Now you are starting to sound like the old school pointy ball coaches...lol. Go take a bag of balls over there and kick! College coaches do scout at my school as well. Probably not as much as clubs, but every year a couple coaches w...

Re: Complaining Parents

My history shows name calling? Haven't changed a thing in 22 years? My way or the highway? I make accommodations for players all the time. Not sure where you are getting your false accusations. Not sure where you live or what school your kids go to, but you seem to be exactly like the parents I was ...

Re: Complaining Parents

Guest, All coaches have egos to some extent. Mine is no bigger than the next guy. You questioned my qualifications and I was simply trying to give you some background. Yes, I'm proud of my teams and the program that I've had the honor of leading for the past 18 years. I'm a long way from retirement....

Re: Complaining Parents

Guest, Thank you for proving my point in the original opening statement of this thread. By the way, I did play college soccer. My high school teams have been in the playoffs 17 out of 22 years, and I've been at the same school for the past 18 years. My furthest playoff advancement was to the state q...

Re: Complaining Parents

What happened to that coach that was arrested for molesting a player. I know it was mentioned somewhere here on the forum. Hopefully he is in jail. How many in the Houston area have been arrested in the last year? Really? How does that question relate in any way to this thread? People from all walk...

Re: Complaining Parents

I had my first complaining parents this year, and Dual I coach girls. ;) Of course it was 2 players who were under the influence that they did not have to follow the same rules as everyone else. When we expect them to follow the same rules as the rest of the team, like dressing out, being present o...
