So I hear there is a new school opening up in Clear Creek, Fort Bend and Lamar Consolidated. Any idea on if these will be good soccer schools? Any news on coaches? I heard FS from CR was taking the George Ranch boys job. Might just be a rumor.
The new school in Clear Creek I hear should be good. They are pulling from Clear Lake and I believe it is a learning village (all grades K-12 on same campus). That sounds interesting.
Haven't heard much about the new school in FB. They build those schools so small, how many HS are in FBISD? 12?
George Ranch in Lamar Consolidated I heard will have a mix. Nice big neighborhoods out there off of 59 and Grand Parkway. I seriously doubt FS will leave CR. Although the principal out there is from Morton Ranch????? Probably just a rumor
I have heard a rumor that Coach H has put in for all four of the new schools. I cannot confirm or deny the rumor at this time. I do know that my agent and my publicist will make a statement in the next couple of weeks!
I heard that an Austin coach at smaller club has put their name in for the Cedar Ridge job. If true, it would be a great move for Cedar Ridge as this coach can coach boys and girls, and has plenty of experience.
The new FBISD school is now officially the Ridgepoint Panthers. It is in Sienna Plantation in Missouri City and is in between Elkins and Hightower. It is projected to have about 3,000 kids in 4-5 years. Starting out with just 9th and 10th grades. From a soccer perspective, it will be comprised of 90% or more of Eclipse players. Take that for what it is worth. 4 years from now, it should be competitive with Clements, Elkins, etc in soccer (boys and girls) which are also made up mostly of Eclipse players.
I am the new head coach at the FBISD school and the Lamar Cons school. They are going in a different direction. It will be a challenge but I think it will be fun.
So Wolley, you are going to be the coach at the new FBISD school - Ridgepoint? You are currently at Lamar? Are you going to be the boys or girls coach?
Coach H is currently at Lamar. Wolley is at Galena Park. Dual is at Brenham, and Bota is at Pearland. I have also heard that Guus Hiddink and Sven Goran Erikson are being lined up for jobs here in Houston.
New CCISD school will be the Clear Falls Knights. Kids coming from Creek and Lake. Do know a bunch of the incoming freshmen play for SCFC teams and the Creek Sophomore team will be donating ~12 players as well. I'd be thrilled to find who'll the coach will be, so whenever you fine coaches know, please post so I can let my son know. The AD seems like a stellar guy though is a pointy ball guy...the prospects in terms of academics, facilities, district and parental support are actually pretty exciting. So, to whoever has applied, I wish you good luck and we look forward to working with you in the future! (And please, please be the male Mary Poppins of HS Soccer coaches...)
